Graffiti from the future

I’ve always been interested in graffiti. I know that some think it’s ugly or disrespectful, but I’m in the camp that considers it art. It’s exciting to pass by new graffiti and see it give personality to a dead space, making landmarks out of gray sidewalks and empty brick walls.
While I’m not necessarily attracted to tags, I was amazed by this video from Evan Roth. What began as a senior thesis project for Parsons turned into an inspiring combination of art and technology.
Those of you with an empty weekend and an analytical mind can do this yourself by downloading the free software and following Evan’s step-by-step guide.
If you’re looking for more interesting / inspiring graffiti, check out the Nylon blog’s archives for bathroom stalls to Banksy and everything in between.
Otherwise, just keep an eye out or grab some spray paint. Whichever you prefer.
